Headspace 5 minutes/Day
I've struggled with anxiety for years. To help ease the constant over analyzing, I've used Headspace, a website that provides guided meditations. As life usually goes, I stopped using it about a year ago. The usual excuses kept coming up. "I'm too busy" or "I'm too tired." Well, the excuses will stop this month! Ideally, I want to do 5 minutes right before bed, so I can calm my mind and better prepare for sleep.

Who knew that parenting would be so hard? Right now, Ian and I are struggling with the boys being able to share (if that's even possible at their ages), Owen eating more than carbs and chocolate, and tantrums. Since parenting seems to be the hardest job of all, I’m wanting to focus on my parenting and educate myself on how to become a better mom.
Workout 3 Times/Week
I love to workout but it seems to never happen. Again, the excuses are rampant. "I need to clean the house" or "I need to fold laundry" or "I need to sit here and stare at the wall." Yes, I'm pretty sure I've actually used that excuse before. So, I'm going to prioritize some time either before or after work specifically for exercise. That may consist of a quick at home routine, going on a walk, hitting the gym or taking a workout class. It all depends on my mood and current health.
Eat 1 veggie and 1 fruit for Lunch and Dinner
Living a healthy and balanced lifestyle is very important to me. While I love my Friday evening bacon cheeseburgers from Crown Burgers or a piece of chocolate cake to celebrate Owen's birthday, I also love the feeling of eating colorful, vitamin rich foods. I just find I have more energy when I balance the not so healthy with some healthy, thus comes my goal for extra fruits and veggies.
Apply to School
While I’m starting to transition out of teaching and into another career, I’m also starting to think of going back to school. I’ve always loved food and nutrition, so I may look into becoming a dietician. While I don’t know if that truly is the right step for me at this moment in time, I know the only way to find out is to actually apply and start the process.
I’ll be back in a few weeks to let you know where I’m at and whether anything has stuck. Wish me luck!
