The Best Brownie Recipe
I can confidently say this is the best brownie recipe. I can’t tell you how many brownie recipes I’ve tested. I’ve made Ina Garten’s brownies several times, and they are tasty but don’t have that “WOW” factor. Since brownies are my husband’s favorite dessert, it became my mission to develop a brownie that he gave two thumbs up to. You know what I got after baking these? Two thumbs up and an “Oh God these are good!” Make these brownies for your partner, children, friends, or just yourself. They are gooey, slightly fudgey, and deep with chocolate flavor.
Recipe: The Best Brownie Recipe
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 35-40 minutes Serves: 9 medium sized brownies
2 sticks of butter
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon instant coffee or espresso
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 bag semisweet chocolate chip, divided
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup flour, plus 1 tablespoon, divided
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease or line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper.
In a medium sized pot, combine butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, instant coffee, and salt. Over medium heat, mix until butter has melted and sugars have thoroughly been combined. This processes takes about 3-4 minutes.
Add 3/4 of the bag of chocolate chips to the melted butter mixture. You should have about 1/2 cup chocolate chips leftover.
Mix until chocolate chips have melted. Turn off the heat.
Add the eggs. Make sure to mix quickly as you’re adding the eggs, otherwise they might scramble. Mix until combined.
Add cocoa powder and 1/2 cup flour and mix thoroughly. In a small bowl, take the leftover chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon flour and combine. Add the flour covered chocolate chips to the brownie mix. Combine.
Pour mixture into the 9×9 and bake for roughly 35-40 minutes or until a knife comes out clean. Don’t over bake!
