Fisher Brewing is my favorite place to get a beer in Salt Lake. The atmosphere draws in you in immediately. It has an open room concept so you can see the brewing tanks, making the space feel modern. The seating, either on communal tables, the bar, or individual tables, is comfortable and spaced far enough apart so having a personal conversation is doable. During the warmer months, outside seating is an option as well. The other reason I love Fisher is the beer. The beer is down right delicious. I’ve had many a bad 4% beers in Utah and Fisher has proven that 4% beer can actually taste good. Another reason to visit Fisher Brewing? They have revolving food trucks every day of the week. So, if you’re craving Korean Munchies, Komrades, or Raclette Machine while also enjoying a pint, you’re good to go.
After enjoying a drink at Fisher, Ian and I often make our way to Kiitos – the newbie in town. While I love Fisher for its atmosphere, I equally love Kiitos. But for completely different reasons. It has a more hipster, relaxed, locals only feel. Pinball machines, high top tables, and a small intimate bar make for a brewery I want to visit every week. The beer is a plus as well. The draft pale ales and canned high point options are my go-to beers. Wanting food while sipping on your pint? Kiitos has food trucks every Friday and Saturday from noon to 10pm.
So, if you’re wondering what to do on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon (It’s called Sunday Funday for a reason), I suggest adding a beer crawl to Fisher Brewing and Kiitos into your day.
