I love a tasty rib. One that’s tender and covered in a sticky, savory sauce is exactly what I want. Fortunately, the wok bbq Niman Ranch pork ribs do just that. Imagine sweet, savory, sticky, meaty, fall off the bone goodness. Truly perfection.
I’m also always looking for unique and delicious salads. The grilled gem lettuce is flavorful and satisfying. The bacon, medjool dates, smoked blue cheese, and sesame casesar dressing results in a salad that will leave you one happy customer.
Homemade pappardelle? Sauced in braised rabbit, speck, garlic, sage, brown butter, and reggiano? Yes please! Order this dish. Now.
While I enjoy the meaty, butteriness of bone marrow, my husband really loves it. Another item he loves? Miso. Combining the two in the miso glazed bone marrow was genius. This “special” of the night was his favorite item to date. While the bone marrow was on the salty side, it became balanced once combined with the mustard seeds, cucumbers, and fennel.
The dark chocolate pudding was a solid dessert. The crème fraiche added a tang that helped offset the sweetness of the chocolate and cracker crumbs. The only disappointing part was the salted caramel. It was overshadowed by the other ingredients and seemed unnecessary.
Each time the service has been top notch. Attentive, helpful, and easy going.
If possible, I would request a seat in the main dining room. It provides a view of the kitchen, is naturally light due to several windows lining one side of the restaurant, and has comfortable seating. The room off the main dining room is a bit cozier and darker, but still has a relaxing and upscale feel.
Unfortunately, the glazed carrots with sunflower seeds and mint didn’t live up to my expectations. The carrots were cooked perfectly but were too salty and needed a bit of sweetness. While the dish tasted fine, it just didn’t impress.
Another dish I’m on the fence with was the glazed carrots. The combination of kale, mushrooms, beehive white cheddar, garlic and togarashi made for an earthy, savory, and slightly spicy pizza. Overall, it was tasty, but not mind blowing. If you’re not a fan of kale, I would suggest ordering a different dish.
